What do you do when your five-year plan has morphed into an eleven year plan to no where? Elisabeth Page just hopes that no one in her family seems to notice. And it isn’t as if her family is like everyone else’s. Her father is the famous and legendary Ben Page, the novelist of his generation (well, of her generation as well) And her brother, Rascal, is a literary genius of his own. Elisabeth is just a pastry chef, even though it is the hottest restaurant in Los Angeles.

She is living her life frozen…with her family approved boyfriend drifting in and out of her life, giving her mere crumbs of his time….and her daily life following the same routine each and every workday. Things begin to change, though, when Liza meets Daniel Sullivan….a basketball coach she goads into bidding on a pastry lesson. Suddenly, her boring and routine life begins to change.

Can Elisabeth find happiness even if she doesn’t live up to her father’s standards? Can a career opportunity of a lifetime be fulfilling? And can a relationship that doesn’t follow the dysfunctional patterns of her upbringing allow her to be true to herself?

Can she be loved just as she is? Warts and all? And…can she love herself?

As rich and fulfilling as Elisabeth’s Cherry Clafouti, Seeing Me Naked is a simply fabulous read. Calling it mere “chick lit” is like calling a glass of Big Fire Pinot Noir a simple glass of wine. It’s rich and masterful while being down to earth and simply real. I’ve already read it twice, and have passed it on to my best friend to devour.

Brew a fresh cup of tea…and indulge in something decadent to nosh on as you lose yourself in the Seeing Me Naked.
