Nature’s Song by Nancy Lee Shrader
Nature is seen in every living thing
Around the world, even in the rain
Rain is part of nature you know
Nature even lives in the cold wet snow
Snow can’t freeze it and neither can ice
Nature lives in both, so let me be precise
It is not only flowers, grass and trees
And Caterpillars that eat up the leaves
We see it in all the crops our farmers sow
In each tiny seed that we watch grow
From the first blade of grass to flowers in a pot
Nature is all around us even if you think not
Nature lives in fleas on our cats and dogs
Even in the mud with the farmer’s hogs
And horses and cows in the farmer’s barn
Lives in the cat, playing with yarn
The family dog has a place in Nature too
When chasing a cat and in the cow’s moo
People are a part of Nature too
That means my friend it lives in me and you
We are all part of nature here on earth
We became a part of Nature at the moment of birth
It decides what color our eyes will be
And whether we become a she or a he
Love is a part of Nature can’t you see
The Nature in us caused you to love me
Love is the best part, it makes Nature live on
In each newborn child’s sweet little yawn
It’s true we can see the magic Nature brings
In every love song, sung on true love’s wings
Nature isn’t confusing, no not one little bit
It was set in motion before the sun was lit
Before the moon and stars were set in the sky
We were the apples of Someone’s Eye
Now my friend don’t think this sounds odd
Because everything was created by Almighty God
