A Glimpse by Caroline Skanne

The sun’s
Eye, watches
Joy unfold
In the floral
Creases of

Fluttering summer
Dresses, caressing
Bare legs
Arousing smiles
That curve

Lips pleasantly
Upwards, hoping
For more
Flesh to flash
By flirtatiously

Caroline Skanne lives with her man, young son and crazy cat on the North side of London’s River Thames. She writes poetry and fiction. Educated in London she studied anthropology, cultural politics, popular culture, media and communication. Gender, identity and understanding of stereotypes were recurrent themes. She has had poems published in various poetry anthologies and literary journals, and keeps an online blog under her ‘POETiC‘ alter ego.
