The Road Un-travelled by Marie Milton
The road un-travelled is still anew
Free of wear and wet with dew
With potholes still unearthed
And what is this road worth
When used by such a few
But who is to know, or care
Or think it is to be unfair
That this lonely road
Or so we’re told
Leads to no-where
But who are they to ever say
That no-one is to go that way
To where they’ve never been
To where they’ve never seen
But still determined to stand in the way
O come all and gather from where ye stand
For who are they to reprimand
So follow me, I’ll lead the way
Do not assume you’ll be led astray
But there is none, I not understand
Of those who speak, are you afraid
In case of truth in what they say
Shame on you all who stay
I shall walk alone, I do not mind
For I am not one who shall foray
