The Warmth of Love by Cher’ley Grogg

My eyes fill with tears
Your voice rings in my ears
My heart is broken
Your love wasn’t a token

Cold days we sat
No fear or fret
Warmth of sunshine
Whiling away time

In me, you saw beauty
Never was I a duty
Special you made me
Independent and free

Years have gone past
Since I saw you last
Never will there be another
To compare with you, Mother.
